After a 2 years of trying, I got nothing but rejection emails. After the second one, I again started applying to pathways. After 15 or so, I decided to apply for a normal NASA internship and got 2 of them in Stennis Space Center. Once I got the updated resume, i kept applying to NASA pathways applications on USAJobs. Good question! After about the first 5 rejections, I decided to go to a resume expert at my University's career center. I'm probably going to work here for a couple more years and move out west somewhere. The people are nice and the cost of living is reasonable, but goddamn it's boring as fuck geographically and the winters are terrible. Honestly I think Detroit is among the best of the midwestern cities, but therein lies the rub: it's in the midwest. There are areas that skew younger, full of bars and restaurants, and downtown Detroit is rejuvenating. It's one of the most multicultural places I've ever lived (and I've lived in lots of places), and the food reflects it. There's a ton of great shopping less than a mile down the road. I live in the suburbs about 20 mins from downtown, and they're as nice as any suburbs anywhere else I've been. The suburbs are like the suburbs of any other city. There are bad areas of the city, but they're shrinking. The only downside in your whole comment for me was having to live in Detroitĭetroit is actually not bad at all, relative to the midwest. ![]() It's amazing how much power that carries, isn't it? I'd strongly consider a paycut if NASA were to offer a job, solely to be able to say that I worked for NASA. Meme posts made outside this time will be removed.
